York Conferences are thrilled to announce that after an incredible £26million investment, the Piazza Building has opened its doors. Located on the University of York’s Campus East, the building is home to the International Pathway College, and features a 350-seat lecture theatre, a variety of seminar rooms and break-out spaces, a 200 seat restaurant and a Starbucks.
Jon Greenwood, Director of Commercial Services at the University of York said, “the Piazza Building has offered our clients, staff and students a fantastic new space for integration, innovation and creativity. This building inspires activity by its very design; throughout the Piazza Building you can find breakout spaces designed specifically for engaging work while simultaneously offering a peaceful atmosphere to work in. Event bookers can look forward to the excellent catering options available in the Piazza Building. As well as the convenient Starbucks, the award-winning Chefs are on hand to create the perfect menu for each event, catering for all dietary requirements with ease and creativity.
As with all of York Conferences’ venues, the Piazza Building features state of the art audio-visual opportunities and our team of technical experts are available before and during events to help everything run smoothly.
York Conferences offer competitive DDR rates which start from as little as £27 + VAT and profits are reinvested in the University of York, funding research, teaching and facilities.
York Conferences has re-appointed Mosaic Events as their official event management partner.
The contract has been awarded for a third year and will be for an estimated 10 – 12 association conferences lasting from one to five days. Clients are offered a menu of services to enable them to have as much or as little support as required. Services include: three levels of delegate registration and management; abstract management; income generation, sponsorship and exhibitions sales; event marketing; poster management; speaker management and onsite event management.
