what is The Lord Mayor’s Ball?
The Lord Mayor’s Ball is a grand black-tie event organised by The Lord Mayor and Civic Party, serving as a vital fundraising occasion for York. The ball took place on 18 May 2024 at the historic Guildhall York.
Where was it?
The grand black-tie ball was hosted at the historic Guildhall York, nestled in the heart of the city centre.
The Main Hall, which can host up to 120 people for a formal dinner, is a stunningly versatile space, offering a variety of layout options. The space is adjoined with the bright and airy atrium space and Committee Room One.
Prior to the event, guests enjoyed drinks in the private courtyard in front of the Main Hall. The evening featured a delectable three-course meal prepared by our award-winning catering team, Campus Kitchen, in the grand main hall.
After dinner, attendees danced the night away or relaxed at tables with friends, culminating the night with beautiful live music.
