what is Made in Yorkshire’s Yuletide Village?
The Yorkshire Yuletide Village, by Made in Yorkshire, made a welcome return in 2022 after the pandemic making The Guildhall as it’s new home for the holiday season. Made in Yorkshire’s Markets bring together some of the region’s best designers and makers to the heart of the city. Established for over 22 years, this market offered visitors a variety of Yorkshire design-led Christmas gifts ranging from jewellery, art, textiles, artisan soaps, photography, ceramics, sculptures as well as homemade jams and chutneys.
Where was it?
The Yorkshire Yuletide Village based itself at The Guildhall from Mid November to Mid December 2022, open to the public from 10am to 4.30pm every day.The medieval-style backdrop with Christmas decorations lit up the Main Hall with festive music played echoing through the building. The Guildhall’s Main Hall accommodated for over 50 exhibitors during their market, which interchanged throughout the hire period.
Made in Yorkshire extended their stay with us after receiving their highest footfall in years whilst based at The Guildhall. As the only venue with shelter (an all important must during the cold and rainy season), and an on-site cafe with toilets, there’s a huge benefit to holding markets and fairs within the Main Hall. Exhibitors were so happy with the footfall that exhibition stands were so in demand.
